    The Peristeam Facilitator certification is designed for a person who facilitates vaginal steam sessions for clients in a spa or office location, offers mobile service steam sessions, pamper parties or women’s gatherings. This is a first level certification designed to ensure that the practitioner knows how to screen for contraindications and sensitivities in order to choose a safe vaginal steam setup and select or make the right herb blend for each client’s needs.

    The Peristeam Hydrotherapist certification is a 23-module higher level program of study for someone who wants to learn how to use steam as a holistic form of gynecology. Peristeam Hydrotherapists conduct in-depth consultations where they create customized steam plans for various issues and life phases including fibroids, infections, fertility, endometriosis, labor, postpartum and more. This is the most in-depth and highest level steam therapy training worldwide. Entrance into this program is only possible after completing Level 1 certification. Payment plans and scholarships are available.

    Vaginal steaming is allowed in the following situations but may require a modified steam setup. While using an intrauterine device (IUD), hormonal birth control, Depo-Provera contraceptive injection. While experiencing Lichen Sclerosis, viruses, bacterial or yeast infections, interstitial cystitis, bladder infection, hypertension (high blood pressure), autoimmune disorders, gynecological disorders, retrofitted uterus, breastfeeding.

    When initiating steaming it's best to work with a practitioner who will screen for a steam sensitivities and create a safe steam plan individualized to your needs. For medical advice on steaming with a specific condition consult with a doctor who is knowledgeable about steaming.
