The no-heater (mild) steam setup is where there is not a heat source underneath the steam pot. It will deliver the best results for the following heat-sensitive or circulation-sensitive users: First time steam users; Short menstrual cycles (27 days or less between the start of consecutive periods); Excess heat (i.e. hot flashes, nightsweats, infections); Fresh interim bleeding or spotting in between periods (or more than one period per month).
The heater steam setup is where there is an electric burner or coals under the steam pot which allows the steam user to have a longer steam duration. It is the best choice for users without sensitivities. It may take some adjusting to get a comfortable temperature.
Steaming should always feel soothing, warm, and relaxing. If the steam’s heat makes it difficult for you to sit comfortable, the temperature is too hot. If you cannot feel the warmth of the steam, the temperature might be too low.
