    I love the interviews from the OB/GYNs. It is so amazing to hear their thoughts on vaginal health from a western trained perspective but seeing how natural care has influenced their treatment decisions. As an acupuncturist it makes me so happy to see the East meets West mentality in the health care system, particularly for women’s health. 🙂

    This course is essential for everyone who isn’t used to implementing data analysis into their practice that is interested in this field of work. It also highlights the responsibility of being culturally competent in the role of a practitioner. I feel like the more we integrate medical care with holistic medicine, we’re seeing that socially and academically that a lot of the policy that mandates health practices act as public health measures but are rooted in xenophobic beliefs about certain cultural groups. And I think these beliefs and public health viewpoints are commonplace when it comes to several arguments opposing steaming. And steamy chick providers I feel have a unique opportunity to dismantle those perspectives in doctors and public health officials and not leave that burden to fall on the patient. Wonderful data presented and amazing perspectives and evidence provided by doctors and practitioners shown in the course.

    This course is so important for practitioners or anyone who uses pelvic steaming for themselves. This course is very crucial. Now if someone meets resistance or hostility towards the practice of pelvic steaming, that is not the first time they will hear the argument and they wont be caught off guard or unfairly question themselves in the face of bullies or narrow-minded individuals who are making unsupported statements to discourage pelvic steaming.

    In one of the lessons in this module — I loved this statement from the video — ” Science is only as good as the questions that the scientist are asking.”

    Every steam practitioner needs this course! There are always people who don’t believe pelvic steaming is good, helpful, and healing, and some that actually discredit it! This course helps you navigate all of that territory by going over the 8 most common arguments against steaming, and then introduces you to OBGYN’s who support it. I learned so much!

    This is a very important piece when planning to be a steam practitioner. Knowing how to communicate with other practitioners and proper dialogue with them is a must. Seeing what the other side of western medical gynecological practices can look like when they start to accept all the other modalities of healing sets a standard and foundation of hope in future health of our communities.
