Steam Story:

I came to pelvic steaming to resolve personal years-long issues. These were painful and irregular periods, infections (BV, HPV, UTI, pilonidal cysts), painful sex, vaginal scar tissue, “abnormal” cervix, general pelvic pain tied to emotional pain from sexual trauma, birth trauma, and childhood trauma from spanking, and paternal abandonment.

I am continually amazed at what healing takes place with this gentle, soothing, and even pleasurable method. I am enchanted by the process of combining water, heat, and plants because it is so simple and natural, yet is powerfully effective care. I myself, could not get this depth of care and healing in a standard gynecological setting, however, steaming compliments most medical situations and the medical care you currently receive.

I’m passionate about upholding effective folk practices, and the reproductive justice and equity that can exist when we do. Steaming work is justice for sexual and gender abuse against people and justice for the violence of the capitalist system destroying our sense of belonging to land, plant, water…all of nature. When I steam I feel this sense of repairing and rebuilding the connection to the land and the plants that care for us.
