Steam Story:
I first heard about vaginal steaming from a Maya Abdominal Massage Therapist I saw for help with fertility and menstrual issues. She had given me some herbs to use at home and I did it a couple times with a bowl in the toilet but didn’t really understand the whole concept at that time.
Years later, I started reading more about it and with my background in herbal medicine and holistic nutrition and my focus mainly on women’s health issues, I was very intrigued to learn more about this modality. I myself have had gynecological issues for most of my adult life and was keen to learn to help myself so I could then help others.
I have noticed that once I got my interim bleeding under control through a tincture I formulated, I began to add steaming to my protocols and my bleeding has become lighter. I have mainly been using it for the treatment of fibroids and the decrease in blood loss is a good sign for me thus far.
I want to offer this to others so they can learn to listen to their innate womb wisdom, learn to understand their cycles and the nature of them, and know that there are ways to prevent as well as heal from issues that are often labeled as common or normal. I want them to know that their period doesn’t have to suck or that they just have to live with gynecological issues. There is another way! My journey and my pain have become my purpose. I look forward to providing this service to others, especially as I expand my knowledge on it to help women at all stages and transitions of their lives.
