Steam Story:

What initially brought me to steaming were my painful periods ~ and then slowly I realized how deeply connected steaming led me to feel to my ancestry, my entire body, and all the nooks and crannies of my being. Where I reaaaaally connected deeply to steaming, was after experiencing an abortion. I was seeking something that would bring me back home to myself ~ while also helping me to both release & heal from a procedure and pregnancy loss. Steaming is what helped me regain my trust with my body again, and also helped rebuild my relationship to having sex again ~ after experiencing both an unwanted pregnancy and abortion. It helped me heal and connect to my womb in a way I didn’t know I needed. And it gave me the quiet gentle space to process it all on my own time.

How deeply connected one can become to their own body is one of the most beautiful aspects of steaming, in my opinion. Steaming holds so much space for self discovery & connection ~ and reminds us that deep healing can actually be gentle and full of pleasure. It gives those with reproductive systems alternative options that are not only effective, but soft by nature. And more than anything, I want any person I work with to know that they are capable of creating any healing environment they seek for themselves.

I’m so thankful for the ways steaming has allowed me to listen deeper to my body’s wisdom, all while connecting me to a practice my ancestors did long before me. Watching the way it has impacted the lives of others who have connected to this practice never fails to blow me away, and i’m so grateful to have learned from such an incredible educator here at Steamy Chick 🙂
