Steam Story:

I first learned to steam when I was very little from my grandmother, she had been a Sister Midwife and so much more. I truly wish I had asked her more questions, because many years would pass before I found my way home to this practice. I came to Steaming as a way to rebelong myself to my body, to make peace with my chronic pelvic pain, multiple miscarriages, and very painful periods, in a desperate attempt to avoid a hysterectomy and rebelong myself to my life.

However, steam has a way of rising that met every stone I had swallowed down in silence, it met me in the places that I had collapsed in on myself, the ways that I had contorted and constricted tight, it sung to my silentlands and allowed them my grief, shame, and holy rage. As I came to this practice with artful devotion again, and again, I began to know my own body as my own ritual space. I began to learn the wisdom of trauma, and the mystery of body, breath and bone. I knew that until I addressed my sexual trauma- my pelvic pain would remain. Steaming became a bodyprayer, and I dared to listen. This gentle and artful practice provided pathways of possibility for me, and I retrained as a Somatic Sex and Pelvic Health Coach , TRE Provider, Trauma Release Therapist and Pelvic Steaming Practitioner!

I provide this service for every single woman and gender magician who has felt unbelonged to their body as sacred ground. For those that have experienced sexual trauma and subsequent pelvic pain and dysfunction, such as vaginismus, vulvodynia, dyspareunia, interstitial cystitis, chronic pelvic congestion, hypertonic pelvic floor, menstrual dysregulation, miscarriage and much more.

Without a doubt, the number one benefit that I witness, is the sense of coming into connection with self and pelvic health in wellness, sovereignty and aliveness, rather than a place of pain, shame and disconnection.
